Meet Our Coaches
Duncan Clancy was a 3 year starter for Rutgers as an attackman, where he led the team in assists and overall points his junior year. Duncan transferred to Jacksonville for his final year of eligibility and was drafted by the Florida Launch in 2014 where he transitioned to midfield and has been a stand out player ever since. Based in Jupiter, FL, Duncan will be coming up regularly to host and conduct work outs for our travel teams.
Brian Megill was a 2 time All-American Defender for Syracuse, and has starred on the Chesapeake Bayhawks (professional outdoor league), New England Black Wolves (professional indoor league), and Team USA. He helps brother and fellow pro lacrosse player, Ray Megill, coordinate the training program for Performance Sports Systems in Maryland. Brian coordinates practice plans, drills, and best practices for Space Coast Elite Lacrosse and visits several times per year for direct hands on training for our Stingrays teams.
Bob Nunn had a strong playing career at Calvert Hall where he was a 3 year letterman, followed by 4 year starting goalie at Florida State University 1979 – 1983. Coach Bob has served 2 seasons as assistant varsity coach at Holy Trinity high school and is currently is the head coach of Merritt Island High School Varsity Lacrosse who he has led to two consecutive district titles.
Billy Gibbs was a 4 year starting mid fielder at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and received First Team All-Conference honors his junior and senior seasons. He currently serves as the offensive coordinator for Viera High School and is in his second season as a Stingrays coach.
“Coach Sully” is the current defensive coordinator for Melbourne High School Lacrosse. He has served as head coach of Eau Galle High School and is in his second season coaching Stingrays.
Coach Craig Carson is a current assistant varsity coach at Merritt Island High School. He has served as MI JV head coach and has over a decade of coaching experience.
Coach Larry Holmes served one year as assistant varsity coach for Cocoa Beach High School and has served the last two seasons as head coach. In just two seasons as head coach of Cocoa Beach, Coach Larry has transformed Cocoa beach from a start up program to one of the strongest programs in the county.
Coach Larry is going into his third season as an assistant coach with the Space Coast Stingrays. He is certified by the Face-Off Academy.
